U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials 2024 Live Stream, TV channel, start time to watch qualifying for Paris Olympics

The 2024 Paris Olympics are almost upon us, which means assembling athletes for the United States team is beginning.

The U.S. Olympic marathon trials will take place Saturday in Orlando, Fla., featuring some of the country’s best endurance athletes.

To qualify for the Olympic marathon team, the U.S. will take the top three finishers from each qualifying race. The Paris Olympic standard this season is 2:08:10 for men and 2:26:50 for women.

To reach the qualifying race, men had to run at least 2:18 in the marathon or 1:03 in the half marathon leading up to the trials. For women, they needed a 2:37 or 1:12 mark, respectively.

What time are the Olympic U.S. Marathon Trials?

The U.S. men’s and women’s Olympic trial marathon race will start this Saturday, Feb. 3. The gun will go off for the men’s race at 10:10 a.m. ET. The women’s will start after the men’s race at 10:20 a.m. ET.

The race will take place in Orlando, Fla., close to Lake Eola Park. The course is a 2.2-mile loop followed by an three 8-mile loops to the finish line. It’s a flat course with long straights, so optimism remains for quick times.

The U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials can be streamed live starting at 10:00 AM Eastern Time (GMT -5) on Peacock and various NBC streaming platforms. For those preferring television, NBC will offer tape-delayed coverage starting at 12:00 PM ET. Both options provide comprehensive coverage from the beginning to the end of the marathon, with commentary by Leigh Diffey, Kara Goucher, Lewis Johnson, and Deena Kastor.
