The Košice Peace Marathon, an annual road marathon event taking place in Košice, Slovakia, has been held since 1924. It holds the distinction of being the oldest marathon in Europe and the third-oldest globally, following the Boston Marathon (initiated in 1897) and the Yonkers Marathon (started in 1907). This year, the Kosice Peace Marathon is set to mark its milestone 100th edition.
