On 6 October 2024 the Cardiff Half Marathon will return to the streets of the capital with thousands of runners taking on 13.1 miles on one of the UK’s flattest courses.

The Principality Cardiff Half Marathon 2024 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 6. It is one of the largest and most popular half marathons in the UK, drawing runners from across the world. The race begins and ends at Cardiff Castle, taking participants through iconic landmarks like the Cardiff Bay, Penarth Marina, and Roath Park, with plenty of crowd support along the way. The race starts at 10:00 British Standard Time (GMT +1)

The event will be streamed live on the Cardiff Half Marathon Facebook and BBC Sports website. The live broadcast will start around 9:30 AM BST.

The Cardiff Half is the UK’s second largest half marathon, attracting more than 27,500 runners and 50,000 spectators to the city. The event is known for its fantastic atmosphere and tremendous support of the residents and businesses of Cardiff.
