Inoue (27-0) is a four-division champion, continuously competing for gold since 2014. He is in a rare group of undisputed fighters in two divisions. After beating Paul Butler to become king of the bantamweights, “The Monster” moved up and ran through Stephen Fulton and Marlon Tapales, both fights in 2023, to become undisputed at 122.
“The Monster” was tested in May, beating Luis Nery in the Tokyo Dome even after getting knocked down for the first time.
Doheny (26-4) won the IBF super bantamweight title in 2018. The Irish fighter hasn’t held gold since 2019, competing for interim and local gold since losing the IBF belt. On a three-fight win streak, all via TKO and in Tokyo, “The Power” has won 20 fights via the power punch.
